The gentleman at the desk when we arrived was very pleasant and friendly. The room appeared clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we slept like rocks. We did not wake up with allergies, like you do in most hotels. So, that was awesome! It was affordable and in a great location for our needs. Would stay again under the same circumstances.

San Antonio in Texas is home to 2 of the state’s top attractions: The Alamo and the Riverwalk. One of the city’s former Spanish missions, the Alamo was the site of a deadly battle that cost folk hero Davy Crockett his life. The other remaining missions - Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada with its aqueduct - are dotted around the city. The attractive Spanish Governor’s Palace also remains.
The San Antonio River runs right through the city, below street level. Known as the Riverwalk, its banks have been cleverly developed to house riverfront restaurants, bars and shops, and are spectacularly lit for Christmas. There are several San Antonio hotels by the Riverwalk which are also close to the Rivercenter Mall, the city’s biggest shopping center, while La Villita artisan village has more traditional crafts.
Across the road in Hemisfair is the Tower of the Americas, a tall observation tower with a revolving restaurant overlooking the Alamodome, a huge sports and convention venue, home to the annual Alamo Bowl collegiate football game. Booking.com has several San Antonio hotels near the Alamodome, and more accommodations near San Antonio Airport.
On the outskirts of the city are Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The city also hosts the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the country’s biggest Western events.

This hotel is booked for attending a conference in San Antonio. It offers great value for money and is located about a 15-minute walk from the Henry B. González Convention Center, where the conference is being held. The hotel environment is very pleasant, the rooms are well-equipped, and the breakfast is excellent. There is also a beautiful swimming pool. It takes only about 20 minutes to get to the airport, and across the street from the hotel, there is a lively shopping market full of Mexican charm. Just a short walk away is the river walk, which offers beautiful views. It's definitely worth staying here.

The location cannot be beat.
The location cannot be beat. Would have loved if there was a rooftop pool. The lighting in the rooms was too cold and bright. We ate at Esquire Tavern, Hugman's Oasis and Tokyo Cowboy - all were great!

We were only in San Antonio for two days, mainly to support a relative at Lackland AFB. There's a lot to do in San Antonio (experience from previous visits). The city has "aged", with a ton of highway/street construction that is irritating but expected with growth and updates. Using your GPS is really essential to find your destinations.

WE visit here to mostly see my sister but we always find something to see even if it's the old towns around San Antonio. Lots of festivals here too. don't miss the music and the River walk and the Alamo and other historic buildings.

Definitely do the mission walk.
Definitely do the mission walk. Go down the river, on a bike if possible, and hit every mission. They are gorgeous and so is the river.
Riverwalk is okay, but very commercialized. It's not relaxing or enchanting. A little chaotic and corporate.
The art museum is excellent. Botanical garden is good too.
Food is great!
3 days will give you plenty of time to see everything.

We loved the River Walk and went almost everywhere using it.
We loved the River Walk and went almost everywhere using it. The Museum of Art is fantastic-so is the restaurant there- Tre Trattoria. The Pearl is a fun spot especially on the weekends when the outdoor vendors are there. Ladino Restaurant was our favorite meal. The river tour was fun too, and you can also catch a shuttle on the river.
There are lots of breweries. My favorite was Roadmap, and Back Unturned was good too with great pizza.
T staff was very nice. The room was large enough for 3 adults. The breakfast is very good. The parking (we rented a car for out of town activites) was an extra charge, is average for the location. The car was parked and retieved by tge valet, an extra convience. The hotle is one block from the Alasmo, and within walking distence of the San Antonio Riverwalk. A very good value for family traveling with children. There is a full kitchen, with a stove, a dishwasher, a full refridgerater, and cooking utensils.
The hotel was very comfortable, attractive, safe, and well-appointed. It is literally steps from the San Antonio Riverwalk, and a short walk to The Alamo and access to the double decker tour bus. The valet service was the best I've ever experienced, and every employee was friendly and helpful. They offer a complimentary breakfast, which I can't speak about as we only took advantage of the coffee. They also offered complimentary drinks and snacks in the evening. I would definitely stay there again.
Pool area was nice given the location. Eating options were varied and of good quallity.
The bar staff and gentlemen working during our stay was excellent.
The location was good. The city centre was easily reached from the hotel, but The Marriot was a lot quieter than the downtown area and a lot cheaper. Plus didn't have to pay crazy valet parking rates in the city centre hotels. We were glad we had chosen to stay there for our 2 nights, rather than the hotels around the river walk.
Beautiful hotel less than 5 minute walk to the Alamo, and 8 minutes from the Riverwalk! Small but cozy rooms with very comfortable beds. Amanda at the front desk made my family feel so welcome from the moment we walked in the beautiful lobby! Amanda really impressed us with her kindness and attitude throughout our entire stay!! We were so happy we found this wonderful hotel in such a perfect location. Highly recommended for visitors that want to explore San Antonio!!
The Staff is great.. no bitter Betty's working here... Brittany was the greatest and accommodated my check in time.. life saver. Willie was great too infact everyone was nice and helpful including housekeeping. I've stayed in lots of hotels between El Paso Dallas and San Antonio... And ya I look for the best cheap deal and sometime places be a bit scary.. then staff tend to be hateful rude unhappy trolls .. but not here... Cheap rate and everyone was friendly
Nora, the lady who welcomed us to the hotel was exceptional she could not have been more helpful, she stayed late after her shift as our train was late to make sure we got checked.in ok and was full of useful recommendations . Location was perfect for our 2 night stay 10 minutes walk from the Riverwalk 15 to the Alamo if I remember correctly. No breakfast was included but lots of good value diners nearby.. 5 minutes walk from Amtrak in a safe neighbourhood
The house has a relaxing, romantic vibe. We loved being surrounded by pictures of famous actors, actresses, and musicians. And we loved the Italian villa feel of the whole place! Very close to the Riverwalk among other attractions. Anthony was beyond helpful with the whole process, as this was our first time staying at a home rather than a hotel. There is so much to see in San Antonio and we can't wait to go back!
Location is fabulous, right in the middle of San Antonio on the Riverwalk, it couldn't have been better for sightseeing. We ate in the hotel, and had breakfast and the quality was excellent, and staff were friendly and very helpful. I did use the office facilities as well for a couple of work calls and these are also excellent. Top hotel, great environment for family break and a little business.
The hotel was a lovely historic building right on the Riverwalk. The staff were helpful and friendly. I chose an inside room and it was large, had high ceilings and the bed was comfortable. Total bonus…homemade breakfast and dinner provided for free and, both days and nights, they had different offerings. A really nice bonus after a long hot day out sightseeing. I would stay here again.
The room by far exceeded my expectations, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very large and had plenty of room for our things. The breakfast was Awesome with plenty of choices and fresh. The valet parking under the building in the garage was safe and kept our vehicle secure. Hotel is on the Riverwalk and just a short walk to the Alamo. Will stay here again!
This is one of the best locations on the Riverwalk. One block out the front door is the Alamo (I mean literally one block). Walk outside the back door and you are on the Riverwalk. There are bars, restaurants, and music everywhere.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, and staff everywhere to assist you. Finally the hotel is beautiful inside with gardens and water features.
Hotel was relatively near the Riverwalk and Alamodome, we were able to walk. San Antonio has done a good job connecting this side of I-35 to downtown with well lit streets and wide sidewalks. It is quite possible to leave your car at the hotel and walk downtown.
The hotel is a good price for what you get, a simple stay, free parking, a good bed and clean bathroom.
Our stay was delightful. The whole hotel was relaxed yet elegant, with helpful and welcoming staff. The pool was lovely on hotter days. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and the beds are super-comfortable. We enjoyed being right on the Riverwalk, and we also appreciated the security of the porte cochere driveway for unloading the car on arrival.
Fab location for visiting downtown San Antonio. Very close to The Alamo and to the river. Recommend walking along the river the The Pearl Brewery (about 1½ miles). The river walk is fabulous with some great bars an restaurants very close to the hotel.
Breakfast was great (except cereals, see below). Lovely mushroom & cheese omelette and plenty of bacon
La Cascada was very close to the centre of San Antonio without being in the centre and paying a fortune for a room. It's on the river so you could walk along the river and then into the RiverWalk where all the restaurants, bars and shops are. It's all very easy. There was a grocery store nearby and the room itself was great.
rooms are nice and clean it is an older hotel so keep that in mind but nice upgrade to keep the charm. Bed was comfy
there is no breakfast on site but a short walk to the Riverway you can grab some. It was close to all the nice places to go see on the Riverwalk and used the scooters to go to Alamo
I've rated this hotel at least three times. Last time!
Great, really great, staff. Great breakfast. Evening snacks--chili, chicken, nachos, etc--with adult beverages included! Excellent room. Extras! in a midrange hotel. Better than the Contessa on the riverwalk. I like it. I could live here.
The hotel was fantasitic, the room was cozy and the bed very comfortable.
The location was amazing, literally 2 min away from Alamo and Riverwalk!
The stuff was very friendly and really went above and beyond to satisfy our requests.
